Must U.S. post offices have free or low-cost shipping cartons and packing materials. We recommend Priority Mail, with Delivery Confirmation and Insurance, costing approximately $6-7.

Keep in mind that your camera equipment is in need of repair, so don’t insure for full replacement value. U.S. Postal Service will also pick up packages free or for an additional fee at scheduled times.

UPS and Federal Express are very reliable and will pick up packages for additional charge. Federal Express is somewhat less convenient unless you have an account.

Guidelines for secure camera equipment packaging and shipping:

• Rigid carton with flaps intact
• Items wrapped separately
• Adequate cushioning material (2 inches on all sides)
• Strong tape designed for shipping
• No string or paper wrapping
• Single address label
• A clear, complete delivery address
• A clear, complete return address*
